Sometimes when users are completing an SF-182 Form for External Training or working on performance-related tasks in the OLU they may click away to collect information on a different tab/window or even take longer breaks as they multitask. This can possibly cause the user to be automatically logged out from the OLU due to inactivity, and if this happens while they're working on those, the progress is not saved (as they usually need to click a button to properly save it).


Should a user contact us saying they don't see the progress of a form they're filling out, kindly ask if they recall getting automatically logged out/timed out while they were working on it. If they confirm, please use the following SR to assist them with preventing this in the future.


Standard Response:


We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with being timed out. The GSA Administrators kindly advised you will need to make sure to click/interact with the OLU page every 29 minutes if you're connected to the GSA Network or using a VPN, or every 14 minutes if you're not connected to the GSA Network. This is to prevent being logged out while completing your SF-182 form, Development Plan, etc., and possibly losing your progress as it may not save properly.
